PROJECT OF CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF CHEMICALS IN PRODUCTION

The theme of the elimination of chemical substances detrimental in the textile and clothing production is becoming increasingly important in recent times. More and more are the brands that, to reply to media campaigns and an increasingly aware consumer of the importance of their choices, are acquiring the reference documents for the definition of eco-toxicological limits and following organizational requirements.

The incentive arrived from our customers has surely press us to look for more suitable solutions in order to improve performances in this topic, finding our part, in line with the values in which we believe, a specific sensitivity to environmental issues and a strong will of development and research of levels of service to the customer increasing.

Convinced that we really want to achieve the purpose, provided of a real sustainability (economic - environmental and social), we decided to build a path organised and entrepreneurial valid, able to demonstrate transparently what has been achieved. As for our management decisions and in line with our strategic and business purpose, the project integrates the values of sustainability and in particular the management of chemicals in the production according to a protocol made by our partners 4sustainability® (www.4sustainability.it).

Then we commenced the implementation of a reduction Protocol and elimination of chemicals, which provides:

• the definition of a MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List) for LOMS;
• the definition of a chemical inventory and the launch of a phase of qualification of suppliers and purchased products;
• the integration of information and the definition of some methodologies that allow us to assure our customers the transparency and traceability;
• the creation of a statistical sampling plan and control through a test based on risk assessment;

We are available and interested in sharing our experience with all customers and stakeholders because we are sure that the path that we curry out is the answer to the demands made by the market. The dialogue is essential in reference of contractual proposals from each and verify together passable requirements, in order to take an improvement path transparent and concrete.
